Llangollen Tow Path

The tow path running alongside the Llangollen Canal was used by ponies pulling slate-laden barges to Birmingham and beyond. It is now enjoyed by walkers and cyclists taking in the beautiful views across the Dee Valley. This level route allows you to experience the tranquility of this famous part of the World Heritage site, while holiday makers in their narrow boats gently pass by.
