Glan Morfa

Glan Morfa is an all-ability trail following the banks of the River Clwyd estuary. At low tide the site becomes a wildlife haven, with vast numbers of birds feasting on the mud flats in a busy display of sight and sound.

The wide path takes you through the young community woodland before cutting back towards the estuary. Recent regeneration of this area has turned a former refuse site into an open space, excellent for bird watching, walking or simply enjoying the views.

Birds to look out for include passage waders such as bar-tailed godwits and sandwich terns in autumn; wintering birds such as lapwing, redshank, dunlin, sanderling, red-breasted merganser and wigeon; and year-round residents such as Kingfisher, oystercatcher, curlew, mute swan and shelduck.
