Denbighshire Biodiversity Partnership is hosting a Biodiversity Train Ride on 12 June through the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Llangollen Railway to celebrate Wales Biodiversity Week 2012.
Biodiversity Officer Lizzy Webster said “this has been a really popular event in previous years so we are looking forward to more people encountering the wonderful wildlife of the Dee valley this year”.
As well as a scenic train ride, there will be activities and opportunities to learn about wildlife during a stop-off in Carrog.
Booking is essential so please call to book on 01352 810614 or email loggerheads.countrypark@denbighshire.gov.uk. Tickets cost £5 per family or individual and children under 16 are free but must be supervised! Meet at Llangollen Railway Station at 6.30pm, finishes 10pm. The event is suitable for adults and families.
Wales Biodiversity Week is an annual event across the country to promote wildlife and encourage people of all ages to experience nature first hand. Visit www.denbighshirecountryside.org.uk to see what else is going on in the county.
